GuitaristNation.com recently did an interview with Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino of Jfrocks.com.  We talk about Jeff a lot here and at Smits on Google.  Nothing more needs to be said about Jeff Fiorentino other than the fact that he’s a true guitar icon on the internet.  I applaud guitarist nation for their fantastic interview.  Jeff isn’t an easy guy to get to open up and speak out, but they did it, and did it with some really insightful questions too.

From Zooey Deschanel to Jeff Fiorentino, 5 things that ROCK

Below is a list of the 5 people or things that at this moment in time I think really ROCK!!.  Some of them are funny and some are serious, either way you wanna “slice” it, it’s my blog so it is what it is.

The short list for the impatient among us:

1. 1.  Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino of jfrocks.com - Because he’s changed the guitar world for the better.
2. 2.  Zooey Deschanel - Zooey Deschanel is a positive influence in a rehab infested Hollywood.
3. 3.  Sliced Bread - Because it’s supposed to be so good and all.
4. 4.  Triumph the insult comic dog at the Star Wars convention - Just because – Why not?
5. 5.  Ice – Blog entry was written on a HOT day in Boston with 95% humidity, Ice ROCKS, believe me!!!!

1. Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino of jfrocks.com

This Los Angeles guitarist is a guitar idol to Thousands of guitarists of all ages all over the world. (including myself) Jeff in many ways has changed the way guitar is taught, but also for countless players he’s changed their perception of how the guitar can be played and used.

I’m in the process right now of writing a story on Jeff Fiorentino for the guitar magazine that I write for and contribute to.  I thought I would add some things here in this blog that probably won’t make it into the article.

Let me start by saying that I thought a lot about who or what to put at number one on my list.  In fact I almost put Zooey Deschanel here at number one because of the positive influence that she is and or has the potential to be to Millions upon Millions of young people.  It was a bit of a debate but I changed my mind at the last minute and put Jeff Fiorentino 1st and Zooey Deschanel 2nd on my list.

(sorry Zooey don’t take it personal!!  I’m currently doing an article on Jeff for an upcoming unknown greats issue of my magazine, so I kind of almost had to put him 1st. But off the record you’re really number 1. )

Truth be told Zooey Deschanel is of course far more of a household name than jfrocks Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino is. Big duh there right?!! But just because you may not know who Jeff is, that doesn’t mean that others don’t. Trust me on this one, most die hard guitar freaks that haven’t been living under a rock for the last decade know who Jeff Fiorentino is.

Our magazine may be doing an unknown greats issue soon, and jfrocks.com’s Jeff Fiorentino is at the top of our list. Although with visitors to his website in the 10′s of Thousands annually he’s hardly an “unknown”.  But just in case you don’t know who Jeff is or what he’s done over the past few years, read on and I’ll give you a clue!

Los Angeles guitarist Jeff Fiorentino among other things is the owner and writer of a popular guitar music and instructional website called jfrocks.com.  Jeff’s probably best known among Van Halen freaks as the go to guy for anything Eddie related on guitar.  Jeff’s Van Halen guitar lesson series changed every guitarists freakin’ life when it came out about 6 years ago.  Jeff knows how to play Van Halen better than Van Halen knows how to play Van Halen, and he taught half the guitar world how they can do it too, and properly I should add.  But that’s just the tip of the iceberg with Jeff, he’s much more than some Van Halen guy.  He’s a Jazz trained guitarist that cut his teeth doing some hard core improv jamming in NYC in his late teens.

Jeff Fiorentino is a guy that’s not only changed the way the guitar is approached, but also how we teach music in general. His methods of instruction have been picked up by and used by countless music schools and instructors around the world.  His tips on songwriting and structure have helped countless players write music quickly, effortlessly, and well.  He’s also done a lot of ghost writing for artists over the years that “YOU” have in your CD collection.

Let’s just say that if you want to learn how to write a song he’s probably the guy you want to sit down with. 10 minutes with guitarist Jeff Fiorentino talking about songwriting techniques will probably change your life for the better if writing music is what you want to do either for fun or for a living.

I got to meet Jeff about a year or so ago in his home town of Pacific Palisades California.  I’ll type more about that later, but for now let me share some fun facts I found out through my research for the article, which included talking to some of Jeff’s close friends and family in Los Angeles via phone and email.

Let me begin by saying that Jeff is the guy that most die hard guitarists and teenaged dude guitar heads know as the cool riffing guitarist from their favorite TV commercials, radio spots, and of course the legendary jfrocks.com, which is without a doubt the most innovative and cool guitar instructional site on the net.  But beyond all of that I’ve included below some fun facts that maybe you didn’t know about jfrocks Jeff Fiorentino since he’s not too much for talking about himself. (Which is a pretty rare find in narcissistic Hollywood. I’ve interviewed some real self absorbed Hollywood A-holes over the years, and I can tell you that Jeff Fiorentino is NOT one of them. This guy has his head screwed on straight.)

4 Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino facts:

1. Jeff lives in Los Angeles, CA near the beaches in Pacific Palisades, which is a tucked between Santa Monica and Malibu for those that have no clue where that is. It’s not a bad location, I sure wish I lived there.  As most of his following knows, the majority of the jfrocks.com music and lesson materials are produced at Jeff’s home studio in Pacific Palisades, or at his sound engineer’s studio deep in the hills of Trancas CA, which is really just the north side of Malibu for those not familiar with the area.

2. Jeff has been playing guitar since he was 4 years old. His father was his first teacher but Jeff began formal guitar and music studies in summer programs at Berkely school of music in Boston MA at age 12. He would stay with an aunt for the summer out there so he could take the classes. Jeff then studied Jazz improvisational guitar in New York City in his late teens under Jazz sessions player Kevin Jones. (Jeff used to improvise Van Halen and Jimmy Page like solos into jazz jams for fun during these early sessions. Coincidentally this very skill would prove useful in his session career in Hollywood later on down the road, where he was the guy they called when they couldn’t get Eddie, or Jimmy.)

3. (this one blew my mind totally when I found this out) Jeff donates a lot of time and money to music and arts education around the country. Jeff also teaches guitar workshops in both New York city and Los Angeles, mostly teaching abstract music theory and creative thinking in songwriting.

As a footnote to this I found out that Jeff also works with a gifted group of kids at a school for the arts in Los Angeles. These kids are genius IQ and brilliant musicians ranging in age from 12 to 17. When asked about these students Jeff has been quoted as saying, “If they can think it, they can play it.” “It’s absolutely amazing, and I’m honored they want me to teach them.” “They chose me, they demanded that I come back, so who am I to say no.” end quote

These kids have a regular music teacher, but I’m told that Jeff is sort of their Yoda for lack of a better word. Jeff teaches them to think outside the box and use their smarts to their advantage, often taking them on outings to explore various creative concepts, or to meet their favorite players in the studio for a real life lesson in music. The kids adopted Jeff as their mentor after he gave what was supposed to be a one time class to them as a special guest. Now he teaches them 2 times per month if his schedule allows for it.

(He volunteers his time to do this by the way which I wasn’t surprised at all by, this is a very generous guy.)

4. Jeff has done background guitar work on countless radio spots for Los Angeles radio stations over the years, and his riffing has been used in more than 100 national TV spots between 1996 and 2004. Including ads for GM, Nissan, and Miller. Jeff has also ghost written songs for more than a dozen artists.  Jeff’s primary session work these days is doing what’s called clean up work. This means he fixes other people’s junk and makes it better. (off the record I wish I could get Jeff to come over and clean up some of my lousy demo stuff.)

In my book Jeff Fiorentino of jfrocks.com (among many other things) tops the list of people that really (well for lack of a better word) ROCK!!

He’s not just a performer or a studio guy banging out TV spots or indi film music for a quick buck. Jeff has done more as far as education and getting young people interested in being more than just cover song jukeboxes than any other professional “Hollywood” player that I can think of.

His website, jfrocks.com attracts both guitarists interested in exanding their knowledge of the instrument, and also guitar music freaks that don’t play guitar at all but love to crank up, download and purchase the awesome guitar music that Jeff and his crew crank out for the website’s lessons.

Jeff Fiorentino has stepped up to the plate, which is something music and art of any kind always needs someone to do. He decided that rather than just take up space he’d give something back. And he does in a huge way, in fact it’s a way that’s changed the way Thousands if not Millions of guitarists including myself both approach and create on the instrument.

Jeff and his cast and crew over at jfrocks.com work hard putting together entire songs and lessons based on techniques and styles. Jeff teaches people concepts that they need to understand to be a professional player and not just a schmo with a guitar strumming some chords. This guy is teaching people to be innovative, thinking, musicians. Which in my opinion the world needs more of.

On top of all of that Jeff has written, produced, and starred in more than 40 guitar instructional DVD and CD products which are distributed all over the world. Jeff Fiorentino is a big deal outside the USA, so when I say all over the world, I mean all over the world. The Japanese, Australian, & UK following makes up about 40% of the site’s traffic.

The jfrocks product line is just amazing. The older stuff is a little lacking in the editing department, but the content is great so it more than makes up for it. I own every single title including some rare stuff that I emailed them about and they actually sent it to me!! Most guitarists either have Jeff’s DVDs, or they include them on their must have wish list.

Of course no tale of guitarist Jeff Fiorentino can be complete without mentioning a very famous showdown and a masterful product line that a certain guitar legend (who will remain nameless, but his name soundes like “eddie van Walen”) forced Jeff and his group to stop distributing. It’s a long story that’s really legendary all over the internet in many VH related guitar forums so I won’t tell it, but I will say that it was a sad day for guitar indeed when that little incident happened back in 2004 or 2005. We ALL hope that Jeff and Eddie can work it out someday so that we can see that stuff again, and younger players just learning now can get to take advantage of it. I know I know copyrights blah blah blah

One of the things that makes Jeff both a legend and someone that stands out as a teacher is that he’ll take a song like “Brown sugar” from the Rolling Stones for example, and say, “hey, lets see what would happen if Van Halen or Hendrix did a remake of this song.” “how might it sound”. It’s like an acting class almost, but on guitar. This is what teaching is about in my opinion, and the opinion of countless others as well. It’s about giving students creative ideas to expand on. Teaching isn’t about just showing off for the sake of it, or giving the student the answer without letting them explore the possibilities. Sadly this is what most guitar instruction online and on DVD is these days.

2. Zooey Deschanel

OK, number 2 is Zooey Deschanel. Like I said earlier Zooey almost made number one on my little list here.

(For the record I’d like to state again that I actually think Zooey is kind of tied for first with Jeff rather than some sort of distant second. lol )

So, why is Zooey Deschanel on my list and my number 2?? … Well I’m Glad you asked.

BECAUSE SHE’S AWESOME!! SHE TOTALLY ROCKS!!  And she just doesn’t seem to be a drugged up club hopper like a lot of Hollywood is these days. And man that’s refreshing to see.

I pride myself on being a predictor of rising stars. I’ve never been wrong yet!! I know she’s doing lots of stuff right now from what I’ve read, and it’s easy to play Monday morning quaterback, but I predicted a long time ago that she was going to go pretty far when I saw her in Mumford. Trust me I’m never wrong about this stuff. Honestly, I don’t even think her career has begun to scratch the surface of where it’s going yet. Mark my words people.

Now enough crystal balling let’s move on.

From what I’ve read Zooey Deschanel, not unlike number 1 on my list is another one of those “Hollywood kids”. Either with a parent, or grandparent or all of the above in the business in some way behind the scenes or in front of the camera. Heck for all I know they all know each other and I could have killed 10 birds with 1 stone when I ran into Jeff in that grocery store. I have no idea. Like I’ve already said their world is a Million miles from mine. When I took that trip to LA I felt like I was on another planet.

In Zooey’s case, since I haven’t been following her career that long per say, and I haven’t met her, and I’m not writing a story on her for my magazine, I’m going to simply make some observations and offer an opinion or two, rather than what I did for Jeff which was rattle off facts and first hand experiences.

Let me start by saying that I think Zooey Deschanel is a fantastic actress, and I think that she’s very pure in her art. I don’t see that she’s just looking for a quick buck or “fame”. I think she really just enjoys what she does, and I really respect that sort of thing.

I also think that Zooey is really a very positive and influential actress and role model. People that influence others in a POSITIVE way interest me a great deal, and I think there’s a shortage of them in this world right now. (I also think that Zooey is just a really cool friggin name by the way. Even though I know it’s a reference to Franny and Zooey, the name to me still sounds like a slip and fall accident of some sort. lol.)

My prediction is that over the next few years we’re going to see a lot from this girl. I mean A LOT!! I hope however that she keeps her feet on the ground. I’ve seen it happen so many times with actors. They get some success and their career seems to go up and up, and so does their ego and problems.

In college psych we learned that when famous people start to lose touch with the common person or get a god complex of some sort then that’s when drugs and alcohol start creeping in. I don’t have to name any names here, we call all turn on the TV any day of the week and see this play out.

Now, I’m not a movie expert, I’m not a Hollywood know it all or anything like that, but it seems that young Hollywood is all about rehab and nightclubs and people famous for really doing nothing other than taking up space.

Zooey Deschanel is a refreshing change from the usual junk that I see when I turn my TV on, or go to the movies. She just seems like a great girl, I don’t read a lot of bad press about her doing stupid things, and from what I can see I think she probably trys to avoid doing stupid things, which leads me to speculate that she’s probably pretty bright. (another point for Zooey)

People don’t need to try to be role models. All they need to do is set a good example, and Zooey is doing that by not being one of these rehab morons. It’s as plain and simple as that.

In my opinion, Zooey’s success is probably in no small part the product of a happy home, great parents, or both. It’s just a guess on my part, who knows maybe her parents beat her or something and I’m wrong (LOL) but I highly doubt that’s the case of course.

I know that one of the things that Jeff from our number 1 slot told me that he credits a lot of his success with is his awesome parents, and their willingness to sacrifice and send him to schools and good teachers to hone his craft etc.

If we look at some of these ”rehab” actresses (as I call them) out there that are supposed to be role models we often can link it back to poor parenting. So it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Zooey Deschanel probably came from a decent home with intelligent parents.

I don’t know about any of this in Zooey’s case for a fact. But I can say that she’s certainly talented, and getting a lot of work, which puts her firmly in the public eye. I think that kind of public attention demands some level of responsibility from the celebrity, and Zooey seems to respect that and not blindly teach our children by example that it’s OK to drink and drive etc.. After all it’s a good idea to remember that we’re a society that does what celebs tell us to basically. While I find that fact very sad, it’s also very true.

In my opinion Zooey Deschanel should be the inspiration for younger kids, certainly NOT the rehab idiots that I see all over the place now. Or even worse these reality MTV star people that to be honest I still can’t figure out what they’re good at or why anyone even cares about watching them do nothing for hours and hours. It’s a sad reflection on our society really.

You never really know what the future holds but I’m pretty sure that Zooey Deschanel has her act together enough to never turn into one of “those girls”, and I’m very interested to see the path that her career takes. My prediction is that it will take her very far.

3. Sliced bread

OK, now it’s time to be funny. So that’s right number 3 on my little list to open this blog is sliced bread. All of my life I hear people say, “That’s the greatest thing since sliced bread”. Well number 3 is “sliced bread”

For those of you keeping track that means that both jfrocks guitarist Jeff Fiorentino, & actress Zooey Deschanel are better than, or at least cooler than, sliced bread (in my opinion)

But hey let’s face it, they both kind of rock!!

Jeff for influencing so many guitar players, and musicians in a positive and useful way, (and living in a very cool place that I wish I lived) and Zooey for her potential to influence many young actors and actresses in a positive, non-rehab oriented sort of way.

This by the way also means that the other 2 items on this list, while pretty cool, are not better than “Sliced bread”, Jeff, or Zooey.

4. Triumph the insult comic dog at the Star Wars convention.

I’m usually not a huge Triumph the comic dog fan, but I have to say that when they took it to the Star Wars Convention it was hilarious. This of course is not really a serious one or one that that’s particularly going to save the world, but it is one of the 5 things at this moment that I’m really liking.

I think the moment that summed it all up was when he asked the idiot in the Darth costume “Which one of these buttons do I push to call your parents to come pick you up.”

That’s a good nutshell look at a 45+ year old man in a Darth Vader costume, and a pretty darn funny one too.

Yes ice. At this moment it is over 95 degrees and humid where I am as I type this, and I’m in dire need of some ice. If you have some ice please email me a picture of it so that I can visualize being cooled off.

It was nice of Jeff Fiorentino to agree to the interview in light of some disagreements we had in 2008 and early 2009.  I really am a big fan and have tried to make amends through some press in some of my secondary blogs like this one on WordPress.

Nicole Fiorentino and Jeff Fiorentino the guitarist any relation?

Found this question while doing a search for guitar news to edit my blog “Smits on Google”.  While Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino and Bassist Nicole Fiorentino are indeed not related, at least according to Jeff Fiorentino when he has been and was asked no less than a dozen times on his Facebook page.  I agree with the answerer of this linked question at wikianswers.com  They both are phenomenal musicians.  Nicole Fiorentino is a rare find.  You don’t normally find a chick who can play bass with the best of them.  Usually female bassists are root note drivers with very little technique.  Nicole really stand out in the crowd.  Nicole Fiorentino is best known as a band bassist or live show performer.  While her Fiorentino counterpart Jeff Fiorentino is best known in the music industry as a session guitarist having played on no less than 100 TV commercial spots and TV show backgrounds.  Although for probably the past 8 or 10 years Jeff Fiorentino is best known as a really popular guitar instructor online.  With more than 40 DVDs on the market he’s no small player in that game with his Jfrocks.com website hitting the 6 figures in visitors and hits.

The buzz among Jeff Fiorentino’s fans is that both he and Nicole Fiorentino hale from western Massachusetts.  Nicole from a small town called Ludlow, and Jeff from an even smaller town right next door called Belchertown which is near Amherst for reference.  It would seem at least in guitar forums and on Facebook that Jeff Fiorentino has been getting hammered with questions as to whether the two are related.  Most drawing the conclusion that since they each come from such a small rural area and have a unique last name they must be cousins of some sort.  In fact as I stated they are not related.  But none the less both worth noting in my guitar news blog on Google and here on WP.

Long Time no post – World War Stupid WP Update 2010

Well it has been a long time since I’ve posted to my following here in this WP blog.  The private Smits on Google blog is rockin’!  A lot of great guitar commentary and music news in there.  I was reviewing some of my older posts from last year and 2008 here in this WP blog and I know I still have a lot of readers here from your emails and such and many of you wonder what happened to this blog or why I stopped it.  The fact is I stopped this blog in favor of my private one on Google as a favor to both Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino of jfrocks.com and a few of his friends from the music and film industry that wrote in and said I wasn’t helping the situation he was in with the now infamous Samantha Anders and her obvious attention and seemingly revenge getting tactics again Jeff and for some reason an actress by the name of Dana Barron, whom you all probably know best as Audrey from Vacation although she has of course done other things too.

In an effort to give an update of that ”situation” I don’t believe Jeff Fiorentino or the jfrocks staffers ever really licked the problem.  The problem has just gone in a new direction from what I can tell.  Oh and for those wondering, oh yeah Jeff Fiorentino is well aware of it and has even mentioned the current issue on one of his website mailbag guitar lesson videos.  Jeff broke his silence about the issue recently through no choice of his own.  Samantha it seems, and any fan of Jeff’s work or website knows this, has gone around to several popular guitar forums and for lack of a better way to phrase it, has become Jeff Fiorentino.  Samantha (I assume as nobody else would be this stupid) has begun answering guitar related questions as Jeff and giving poor answers to say the least.  Jeff Fiorentino has quite obviously seen this though as he put it Google alerts for his name and has taken steps to protect his reputation by alerting his fans to accept no false prophets.  Jeff says he does not go around to forums and post topics or answer questions anywhere but his own forum and on his own Facebook and Twitter pages.  http://www.facebook.com/Jeff.Fiorentino  and http://www.twitter.com/jfrocks   Many of Jeff’s fans which now number well over 100,000 in the online world have been really enraged by Samantha’s current tactic and have called her out in some forums.  I back that 100% and I’m sure Jeff appreciates it too although I suspect he would like fans to not add fuel to the fire so to speak.

On the Dana Barron front, we got a little clarity recently from Derek Meyer, co-owner of the jfrocks.com website on his Facebook page.  Derek stated that there are two separate idiots at work here and one has a problem with Dana Barron and a couple other actors as well, and one (Samantha) has a problem with Jeff Fiorentino and the two idiots found each other and the end result is what happened and to some degree is still happening.  Derek stated the problem was resolved in late 2009 and they were waiting for the internet to clear itself and refresh away the links when Dana Barron gave an online blog interview with a magazine of some sort and unwittingly gave her nemesis fuel via actual family photos and press which as Meyer stated could easily be twisted.  On the plus side Derek stated that Jeff Fiorentino felt this would finally split the two idiots up and stop the linking of he and Dana Barron, however that has only happened to a degree. 

It would seem Samantha and her fool partner in crime want something and until they get it all is not still in Jeff’s world and to some extent Dana Barron’s world.  Dana in fact can find that her name is now Rebecca Stacey Barron for example in many places and that she has been divorced twice once to Jeff and once to someone else and has 5 or 6 kids.  None of this is true for the record and though Jeff Fiorentino rarely gets asked about it these days when last asked he denied it with an annoyed laugh expression in his posted answer.   Jeff’s staff assistant Zoe has been successful in her clean up efforts of most of the links.  Now it seems Jeff Fiorentino has his own big fish to fry in Samantha’s impersonation of him in Guitar forums. 

Come on Samantha, let’s not ruin the reputation of the guy because he didn’t want to meet you for a drink and a photo.  That to me and all of Jeff Fiorentino’s fans is just plain foolish and petty.

Jeff Fiorentino Stubborn as Stubborn gets – A Dana Barron friend is making things worse for them!

A source claiming to be close to the Jfrocks website (seemed credible to me) sent me an email with regard to my post the other day which was meant to be a wake up call for Jeff Fiorentino in particular as he’s being made out to be this gay ex husband of an actress from yesteryear Dana Barron which I should point out isn’t true.  Most Jfrocks fans aren’t too concerned with the Dana Barron angle on all this they’re mostly just watching it all waiting for Jeff to do something.  Well it seems Ms. Dana has possibly asked a friend for help or some friend of hers has decided to try to impress the actress and be her hero in some way.  They look like more of a Zero to me. 

To be clear and in Jeff’s defense, he has maintained in the past that doing nothing is the safest route in situations like this.  Even complimented Dana Barron on her patience and ability to keep quiet.  Commenting will only show weakness.  Logic dictates this anyway.  I don’t know about Dana Barron, but Jeff Fiorentino poor guy has been confronted with this Samantha Dana matter on an almost weekly basis in either his forum or his personal Facebook.  In 9 cases out of 10 Jeff is good about keeping his mouth shut, simply saying “it is what it is”.  To his fault though in his case a statement I think would save his ass in all this.  Many fans look up to Jeff and he’s kind of looking like a wimp in all this and being the Karate guitar playing guy that he is I seriously doubt that’s the case.  But in the poll of public opinion Jeff seems to be taking it up the ass here and letting it happen.  Meanwhile Jfrocks fans are turning on Dana Barron which really is something Jeff CAN fix.  I think he’ll worry about that on the back end. 

Jeff did clear up one issue recently because he came under sharp criticism for not following through on actions he had supposedly taken against Samantha Anders.  The fact is that false reports have been made by Samantha Anders (the perp) of Jeff’s or the Jfrocks website’s persecution of her.  Fans were releaved to find out that their hero wasn’t a non follow through type and any deleting of blogs was Samantha’s own doing and had nothing to do with Jfrocks.  Any person well versed in the internet knows that without a trial you can’t get a blog deleted.  Fans however didn’t know this little fact and felt Jeff was being soft.  The fact is the guitarist has been ignoring the whole matter in favor of focusing on his work.  With a number of outside music projects plus the website, fans are more interested in him completing his work than they are in him going after Samantha Anders anyway.  But if he does go after her they expect follow through. 

This source who wrote in to ask me to remove my wake up call post stated that there is now a bigger problem with the Samantha Anders matter and it’s a problem that now may actually require Jeff to get involved sooner rather than later and maybe a wake up call literally to Dana Barron who will need to handle her own intellectual properties as obviously neither Jeff nor Jfrocks can represent the actress in any way. 

It seems a nosey 3rd party claiming to be a friend of Dana Barron’s and acting on her request has interviened in this matter according to this source probably trying to be some hero to his or her friend and is attempting to do some clean up.  In the process the source said this person is making the matter worse by enraging Samantha Anders who in turn is launching an all out assault on mostly actress Dana Barron but has begun to re-use Jeff Fiorentino as a character player in all this in an effort to capture the traffic that comes from using his name and his already attentive following.

The source tells me that Jeff is awake, there’s no need to wake him up, this matter puts a strain on his reputation and any pending deals he has.  This is probably true because Jeff mostly does endorsement and demos of products.  Nobody wants a gay scandal to rock their product. 

I can see the point here.  It’s one thing to have nobody involved and Jeff and even Dana B. ignoring it all.  But when an uncontrollable 3rd party is involved possibly even at the request of Dana Barron things now become out of Jeff’s control on many levels.  I do want to give Dana Barron the same credit Jeff does for being smart though.  I don’t think she asked a friend to post gossip and destroy Jeff Fiorentino and herself in an effort to help.  If she did and the music community online finds out about it she’s going to have a PR nightmare of angry posts in every guitar forum online more than likely.  Fans don’t really understand the point of not fighting back and she’s not their favorite person these days because of her inaction.  So I don’t think she asked anyone for help, or at least not this kind of help.  The problem is that things are now too out of control to deal with effectively.  It’s best when all parties involved are known entities.  With a wildcard out there taking matters into their own hands a leader/control freak like Jeff Fiorentino has got to be going nuts and now may be forced to step in and call in a few a favors.  Not the least of which being a higher up at Google and big fan of the Jfrocks website who has offered to help publicly on numerous occasions.

The source ended his email to me by saying that Jeff is very stubborn.  He’s maintained all along that getting involved would only show weakness which went against the advice of many of his friends and following who said if he can fix it, fix it and worry about the fall out afterward.  Jeff appears in the past to have not agreed with that advice quite obviously. 

I do know that Jeff Fiorentino is a stubborn guy, I have to agree with that.  Usually highly intelligent people are stubborn, which leads me to believe that Dana Barron is probably just as stubborn as our guitar guru is.

Well who knows it could be someone trying to be Dana Barron’s hero to get in her pants.  Most women have those friends that claim to be friends but really hope for more, who knows.  I’ll tell you with their recent actions and the backfire that’s come from them I think her belt will be tighter than usual.  lol

One would think however if Dana B. did indeed ask this fool friend for help (and we don’t know if she did or didn’t) that she would ask a smarter one.  From my own research after reading the email I received it seems that this idiot 3rd party is actually adding gossip for the best I can figure to try to turn the heat up on Samantha, and in the process is burying Jeff Fiorentino and Dana Barron under a pile of garbage. 

I’ll say one thing.  From what I know of Jeff, if this 3rd party is acting on their own.  They better run for the hills if they’re in Los Angeles and he finds out who they are.  One thing is for sure, we know from his DVD’s that Jeff Fiorentino does not like stupid people, he’s always teaching us to be SMART, thinking musicians and artists.  This person is being very stupid and in the process has turned him into a raging homosexual.    OUCH! 

Sorry for my wake up call post from yesterday.  I was unaware of the situation.  So I guess it is finally time for Jeff to wake up.  Or he may end up the gay guitar hero of the internet at the hand of Dana Barron possibly.   Again, OUCH!!

Dana Barron is pregnant, Jeff Fiorentino is Gay ex husband – What’s next Locust invasion?

Come on Jeff and you crazy kids at Jfrocks your fans and I think it’s time to WAKEY WAKEY!! 

It’s been a long long time since I brought this topic up here in the public blog but it’s been going strong at Smits on Google.  And today I read an interesting post from a 14 year old fan of the Jfrocks website and obviously that means Jeff Fiorentino who was wondering if Jeff was really gay or not.  This alarms me because I know the Jeff is a mentor to some of these kids and I’m just wondering what it’s going to take. 

I thought I might help Jeff out here because both he and Dana Barron the actress/punching bag of Samantha Anders seem to be asleep at the wheel.  Neither of them seem to care that Samantha is running wild with her move to gossip website, press releases, and even worse wiki profiles.  I predicted all of this and I can predict more will happen.  It’s a waste to talk about it in public and I know it makes Jeff and the Jfrocks gang very angry when I do that so I’ll leave the topic for Smits on Google.  But I did want to help out Jeff Fiorentino by letting him know that I answered his young fan’s question with a resounding NO Jeff Fiorentino is not gay.  He’s about as straight as straight gets.  Not that being gay is a bad thing if he was, but it’s not a true statement to my knowledge and it just creates drama that detracts from what’s really important which is the teaching and furthing arts and music education. 

I never for once thought that Jeff would ever take a beating like this at the hands of such a nit wit like Samantha Anders.  He must have a good excuse but many Jfrocks fans are wondering what in the hell that excuse might be.  We have seen some of Samantha’s handy work disappearing from the internet as of late.  I hope this is the Jfrocks gang, Jeff Fiorentino himself, or Dana Barron where ever the fuck she is waking up from their slumber at the wheel.  Somehow I doubt it though.

Come on Hollywood kids let’s get it together here.  Or is Dana Barron really pregnant with Jeff Fiorentino’s gay love child?  I somehow doubt it very much!!

Dana Barron is the center of a real online mess – Where’s Jeff Fiorentino in all of this?

It’s been a while since I’ve written about this topic.  Oh no it hasn’t gone away Jfrocks fans.  We’ve been going strong at Smits on Google as everyone knows.  I felt the need to throw a post out there since neither Zoe Jacques nor our guitar guru Jeff Fiorentino ever seem to visit Smits on Google.  I’m a friend of Jeff’s on his Facebookpage and I can tell you that every so often a fan pops in there and asks what in the hell is going on with Samantha Speaks and Dana Barron.  Jeff as usual makes no comment and politely suggests that his Facebook page is not the place for this particular topic.  I agree but it’s the opinion of many of Jeff’s fans or Jfrocks.com fans in general that Jeff Fiorentino is going to have to do something very soon.

For those that don’t know an actress named Dana Barron of Vacation fame and everyone’s favorite online sharp tongued fast witted guitar instructor and Van Halen expert Jeff Fiorentino are in the middle of a mess caused by a blogger named Samantha Anders.  Samantha claims to be an actress although no credits can be found online.  Both Dana Barron and Jeff Fiorentinohave credits longer than your arm, that being the case many assume foolishly that this Samantha person is just jealous.  No I believe there’s more to this story than just jealousy.  Samantha claims to have a personal problem withDana Barron due to a story a friend told to her.  She also claims to have a beef with Jeff Fiorentino some other non related issue.  The silly part is though Jeff Fiorentino knows many Hollywood actors on Dana Barron’s level, neither of these two know each other according to the good people at the Jfrocks website.  Fact is only Samantha, Jeff Fiorentino, Zoe J., and maybe Dana Barron (which most of us assume is well informed) know the real story.

So what is the latest problem.  I haven’t written publicly on this topic for quite some time and many of my readers have emailed asking if I know anything because Dana Barron has never made a statement and neither has Jeff Fiorentino or any of the Jfrocks staffers. 

The problem now is what I suspected all along.  Samantha Anders wants press.  She also quite obviously wants to take down Jfrocks and discredit our guitar guru Jeff Fiorentino and in the process is taking cheap shots at actress Dana Barron.  Which no doubt must piss Jeff and Jfrocks gang off because there’s no way they can defend against it.

Many have commented that Jeff has a bigger problem here.  Misunderstandings can lead to serious legal problems, Jeff Fiorentinowill be the first to tell you that because of a situation he had with Edward Van Halen back in 2005.  Samantha seems to be using Dana Barron and some rather risque photos of the actress that she’s come into the possession of to stamp the Jfrocks trademarked logo on them and put them out there in cyberspace in an effort to get Jeff Fiorentino in some hot water.  This is the obvious that anyone can see.  Where are these photos you ask?  Well they are in Samantha’s Facebook account but they are also in a forum online that she’s created, a public forum that is open to search engines.  Google has not refreshed yet.  Google refreshes for web stuff about once per week.  However Google does not refresh for photos until about a 6 to 8 week period.  Thus Samantha’s efforts are on hold until Google refreshes, no doubt a sigh of relief to the Jfrocks camp.  Then it’s the opinion of this writer that all hell will break loose when these photos hit the main Google image searches.  These are editing room floor stills taken of Dana Barron.  These are not fakes, they are very real.  Jeff I’m certain is well aware that having his logo on those photos exposes him to a serious problem.  He doesn’t however seem too concerned about it and this worries many of his fans including myself.  Comments at Smits on Google are quite loud and clear.

To further the mess Samantha has been issuing news reports stating everything from Dana Barron being pregnant with her 5th child right now, to a false rumor that Dana Barron is in a full nude scene in her latest film due to be released called “The invited.”  I called a friend of mine to try to verify this, and he told me it isn’t true.   To further that and to add insult to injury Samantha has on several wiki pages suggested that Dana Barron’s recent divorce was from Jeff Fiorentino.  This I know is also not true. 

So what are these two separate people namely Jeff Fiorentino and Dana Barron going to have to do?  Fact is fans there isn’t much Jeff can do.  Samantha for as foolish as she is, is pretty smart.  She’s focused her attention on Dana Barron and is slapping Jeff Fiorentino with her back hand.  What I’m saying is that Jeff doesn’t own any right over the Dana Barron name or likeness, only his own.  It’s obvious to most Jfrocks fans and even Jeff Fiorentino himself has said that Dana Barron is doing what convention tells Hollywood folk to do.  Stay quiet, stay out of it, just watch and observe.  Truth is there isn’t much she can do either.  Freedom of speech is tough to fight.  I and a couple Hundred fans out there still feel that either Jeff or Dana should try to work something out with Samantha.  Certainly there’s something she wants.  It can’t just be to take down and discredit one of the greatest guitar websites on the net and I might add one of the originators of guitar websites on the net.  She can’t also just want to discredit Dana Barron either.  There’s no point to that.  Which is why I say there is much much more to this story than any of us the public will probably ever know. 

That’s the update.  No good news, just news.  I beg every Jfrocks fan or future Jfrocks fan, or Dana Barron web searcher to NOT under any circumstances believe the lies that Samantha Anders is typing in her blog, on her Facebook pages, and on sites like whosdatingwho.com and flixster.com.  Her Dana Barron fan Facebook page is nothing of the sort.  It’s a slap in the face to Dana Barron, and it’s loaded with risque photos and Jfrocks logos.  There was a time when Zoe J. of the Jfrocks website was cleaning up after Samantha and erasing the lies on many websites.  Turns out these sites blocked her from doing that unless it pertains to the Jfrocks or Jeff Fiorentino name.  So again Samantha is getting smart and leaving Jeff no alternative but to go along for the ride. 

It’s going to be a bumpy ride for Dana Barron too, she’s fucked, really fucked big time fucked.  Most of this mess can’t be cleaned up.  I still wish that Jeff would visit us at Smits on Google and tell us the REAL STORY of what’s going on with this.  I for one still think that we the fans can be of some help if we know the score.  For some reason he doesn’t want to do that.  Maybe Jeff himself is following the same Hollywood rule of thumb that Dana Barron seems to be following.  Power struggles are tough.  But this is not a situation where ignoring it will make it go away, it’s been going on nearly a year now.  Personally I feel more for Dana Barron on this one.  Samantha might be trying to take Jeff out, but she seems to have a real problem with Dana Barron too.  Jeff can defend himself and Jfrocks.com is pretty bulletproof.  The fans love it and he can do no wrong.  Dana Barron doesn’t have that many fans per say that know enough about her to not believe what Samantha is typing, and that’s really the crutch of Dana Barron being totally screwed right now.  

So now it seems that Thousands of people out there wrongly think that Dana Barron is a divorced nudist with 4 children and 1 on the way.  Nobody has ever heard from Dana Barron about this topic.  The Jfrocks gang may have but hell any of us will ever know.  I’m reminded of something Jeff Fiorentino said on his Facebook page to a fan who asked about this topic recently.  Which I should also say really pisses him off so please don’t mention Samantha on Jeff’s Facebook, it’s in bad taste to do that.  Jeff said, the situation was pretty shitty and that he could fix it, but in fixing it he would only cause more problems because of the fall out.  We don’t know what he meant by fall out but there are large portions of this drama that will remain online forever and can’t be fixed or erased.  That’s something that Samantha Anders will have to live with.  I for one hope she chokes on it!  I also hope that some sort of a resolve can be reached.  It might be time for “Jeffaroni” as Samantha calls him to try a little artful negotiation before some film company in the near future wrongly assumes that if his logo is on a photo he put it out there.  That’s about it, god bless.

Bad Taste and Poor Judgement – Jeff Fiorentino’s Facebook is a Samantha No No!

I wish people would leave the reporting to writers like myself, or the press in general.  Some people have peanuts for brains don’t they?  Most of you have probably already read this since many of you that are fans of Jeff Fiorentino’s work or of the Jfrocks website in general and are a friend on his Facebook page.  I know you’ve certainly commented on it in various places around the web but just in case you’re not on Facebook or haven’t heard yet. 

Some moron named Chad with very poor taste and obviously huge gonads posted on Jeff Fiorentino’s Facebook wall asking about the Samantha blog yesterday evening, looking for details as to what Jeff or his staff might be doing to resolve the matter for Dana Barron and or himself.  The moment I read it I knew Samantha was about to get a Million hits because when you post on someones wall your post is seen by every friend they have and friends of those friends etc.  I know Samantha must have had a record night of reads because I also tag with this topic and I had the night of my life in reads last night all coming from Dana Barron, Jeff Fiorentino, or more sadly both of them paired together in searches.  Samantha’s latest tactic is to take over the searches for them obviously.  She’s hitting wiki pages all around the web and I don’t think either Jeff or Dana are going to like the results of that, but that’s a topic for another time.   

As for Chad the idiot and his Samantha topical question on Jeff’s Facebook wall last night.  A few of Jeff’s real life friends replied to the person before Jeff got to it saying that his private Facebook page was not the place for this topic.  I was curious to see what would happen and what Jeff might have to say since I don’t myself have the guts to post about this topic on his private wall of all places.  Sure enough today Jeff replied to this idiot and as always he didn’t spill a lot of beans.  Not that anyone thought he would, except maybe this idiot Chad person.   This Samantha problem, while seemingly not high on Jeff Fiorentino’s list of priorities at the moment is no doubt a real thorn in his ass.  That was obvious by his reply.  

Jfrocks Jeff didn’t give away any information but he did mention as I knew he would that his Facebook page is his own and not really Jfrocks related.  While many fans sign up for it and Jeff lets them in, it’s not really a Jfrocks Facebook page.  Jeff also nicely told this person and agreed with his friends that his public wall was not the place for this very touchy subject.

At any rate Jeff did tell the fellow looking for some light at the end of the tunnel that the situation is delicate and while he’s not powerless to fix it, in fact he could fix it quite easily, it’s more complicated an issue than just fixing it and making it go away.  Jeff stated that he can’t just go into it like a bull in a china closet for fear of backlash.  He did not mention what he meant by that but I think I know what he meant.  It’s the fact that Samantha doesn’t care and is actually looking for a fight.  So threats and legal stuff doesn’t scare her much because that’s sort of what she wants.  It’s obvious that either Jeff Fiorentino or Dana Barron will need to be more clever than just going in with guns blazing, or Samantha will turn into a press storm that neither will want to deal with I’m certain. 

Jeff, in my opinion very wisely stated that he has to consider both the reputation of Dana Barron, and equally his own when dealing with this matter.  He offered no light or details but did say that Samantha is playing a dangerous mind game with her readers, and they should not believe anything she’s saying. 

I figured Jeff wouldn’t give any details, and he was nice to the fellow who opened his wall post by saying what a big fan he was.  That statement puts Jeff in an awkward position I imagine.  He’s forced to be nice so as to not offend, but he can’t really answer the question in any real vivid detail without causing more problems for all involved and unwanted attention to the matter.  

To this Chad person, if you read this blog post and obviously you do read everything that’s going on with this let me just say in case you aren’t aware that all of us including myself won’t touch Jeff Fiorentino’s facebook page with a 10 foot pole where the Samantha topic is concerned.  I would be afraid to ask him about it in person.  A lot of his friends who are actors or musicians are aware of the matter I’m certain, but also steer clear of it from what I can tell on his wall.  It is just never brought up.  Maybe you should think first the next time you type Chad.  I’m sure the Jfrocks gang are doing something to try to resolve the issue.  What ever that something is will I’m certain never be revealed to us by Jeff on a public Facebook profile.  That’s just common sense I think.  Come on Chad, get real ok.  If it were that simple, I would have the answers I’ve been seeking by now.

What’s that Smell? It’s the smell of Dana Barron & Jeff Fiorentino’s Reputations burning as Samantha hits Internet Radio

Did you ever have one of those days?  Well my bet is that internet Guitar guru Jeff Fiorentino is having one of those Advil days today.  It’s possible Dana Barron is too, but most Jfrocks fans and even most of her own who are now climbing on the commenting bandwagon feel she’s a bit out of the loop on most of Samantha’s goings on.  Lucky her I say!

Regardless of Dana’s stealthy approach to all this, Jeff Fiorentino doesn’t have that luxury much to his chagrin I’m sure.  He’s a public guy on the internet who’s very in touch with his fans because that’s his job to be as a teacher and mentor of sorts.  I warned both Jeff Fiorentino and Dana Barron not long ago about reputation and press.  Jeff proceeded to ignore my emails and warnings thinking I guess that Samantha would never get the attention of any real press unless she did something more drastic than what she was doing presently. 

Well that day has come.  Jfrocks fans hit Smits on Google hard today with confirmation that Samantha of the reputation trashing Samantha Speaks blog has been invited to speak about her antics on a moderately popular Kid Chaos internet radio show.  That’s right, Samantha wasn’t lying a while back when she mentioned this to all of us. 

The radio show itself would issue no statement to this blogger but if what some of Jeff’s following are saying is true at Smits on Google it would seem that the show wants to give Samantha the press she so has been after.  I guess we’ll all find out soon enough if Samantha is indeed a 12 year old kid, or actually the adult she claims to be. 

I WILL NOT ADVERTISE THE SHOW, but Samantha is, so it’s of no matter what I do.  However I should point out that fans have said that Jeff himself is aware of this issue. 

Samantha is very clever, but I think this radio thing might be her downfall.  It’s the opinion of many including myself that our boy Jeff Fiorentino is going to let Samantha go on this radio show.  The thinking of many is if she does, she may very well bury herself and give either Jeff or Dana Barron the ammo needed to kill this bitch once and for all. 

How did internet radio find out about Samantha you ask?  It should be noted that Jeff’s music from the Jf music site gets some airplay on internet radio.  Jeff may not be a big star but his guitar playing and fan base is equal to or greater than many of them.  This is probably what Samantha’s in was with this pirate radio crowd.  I know, you don’t have to say it I can hear you as you read this. 

In more bad news, and news I’m certain the Jfrocks gang themselves are aware of because their fans sure are.  Samantha is spreading the rumor around in various forums and even on her slap in the face to Dana Barron and Jfrocks trademark infringement central, Facebook “fan” page, “not”, that Jeff or Dana will call into her radio show and debate her on air.  This obviously is a flat out lie tactic that this little moron is using to get people to tune in, but it’s working on some level at least from what I can tell from looking at the wall of the Facebook page. 

Any real Jfrocks fan knows that the odds of Jeff calling in and debating Samantha and wasting an hour of his life are about equal to them being struck by lightening 2 times in a row.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what Samantha’s plan is though.  She certainly is betting that Jeff or Dana or anyone from the Jfrocks camp won’t call in.  And they won’t.  BUT Fans probably will.  And that’s bad news.  She’ll win that round by turning it around on them the next day I bet, but in the end if speculation is correct and Mr. Jeff is just letting her hang herself on live radio, it won’t matter.

My hope is it never gets that far.  My advice to Jeff or Dana, or anyone in ear shot who gives a shit about this is to stop her now.  I warned that she was spreading like a Cancer long ago, and she is.  I used to think that Dana Barron had a worse problem on her hands than Jeff Fiorentino did.  I was wrong says one fan at Smits on Google.  Samantha may be hitting Dana in fan sites and facebook and blogs, but for Jeff her shit is reaching offline and into recording studios, and now internet media.  It’s my feeling that our guitar guru has been too busy to deal with all of this lately and it has gotten away from him.  We know he’s working on stuff, and artists sometimes get lost in their work. 

However, it might be time to take a break and WAKE UP!!!!  Especially if the radio situation is a known problem.  It’s possible that the tactic if indeed true of letting her go on the radio and hang herself  may backfire and blow up in Jeff Fiorentino’s face.  It’s very likely that if Samantha ends up going on this radio show that Jeff may wake up the next day with two problems on his hands.  Samantha, and a certain actress who might misunderstand the situation and be mighty pissed off at him.  One fan suggested recently that maybe there is some truth to what Samantha claims Dana herself has emailed into her and said about not liking Jfrocks fans or being pissed at the Jfrocks gang.  There could be a war of words and that’s what part of the problem is and why Samantha is still here and running rampant.  We don’t know what’s true.  My thinking is that it’s better for Jeff Fiorentino to not take the risk of being permanently linked with Dana Barron in the minds of many people by letting Samantha go on this radio show.  By the time she’s done telling the listeners her bar stories and fire safety shit, they’ll be confused enough to buy it. 

It’s risky to allow it, but I encourage all those who have been commenting about this angle at Smits on Google to remember that maybe, just maybe, there isn’t anything that either our guitar guru or Dana Barron can do to actually stop it.  Sometimes when you don’t know what to do, you just do nothing.

Jfrocks.com fans aren’t buying it and neither am I – Don’t believe everything you read

Jfrocks fans are growing tired of Samantha Speaks and her lies.  Her latest efforts have reached deeper and deeper into the internet where she now seems to be making our guitar guru into the bad guy and continuing to write more trash about Dana Barron too.  The blog is the least of either Jeff or Dana’s problems now.  Samantha is a social networking goddess at this point.  Aside from all of trivia and career lies and mis-information she’s feeding her readers about each of them, Samantha is now claiming that she was sent a certified letter from the Jfrocks attorney.  I”m here to tell you that I do not believe this is true and neither do about a Thousand of Jeff’s closest fans at Smits on Google and Guitar 101.

I’ve always tried to keep Jfrocks fans informed on the facts as I see them since getting information from the Jfrocks camp is akin to beating a dead horse.  I have no confirmation from anyone at the Jfrocks camp as to whether or not Samantha’s claim is true but GTO from the Jfrocks forum tells me he doesn’t think it’s true.  GTO says that Zoe in particular is very good about keeping Jeff Fiorentino’s forum moderators informed about what’s going on so that any posts that pop up in their forum can be dealt with swiftly.  GTO has heard nothing about any letter. 

I may be off base but I and many of Jeff’s fans at Smits on Google feel that Samantha is working hard to create drama.  By stating Jeff or even Derek had a cease and desist letter sent to her she’s in effect causing a buzz of sorts.  Even stating in her latest posts that she thinks guitar forums will light up with her “news”.  Well they did not light up.  In fact nobody has commented on Samantha’s supposed news anywhere online publicly!  This could be for a number of reasons not the least of which being new materials from the Jfrocks website.  Usually when Jeff releases something new it diverts fans attention away from Samantha and her antics.  This may be the case right now but I think people are siding with Jeff and gang and not paying attention to her any longer. 

This may be moot because now that Samantha is focusing more on Facebook and actress Dana Barron in particular as far as antics go.  Jfrocks fans don’t seem as interested but can see why her use of Jeff’s logo in conjuction with Dana Barron may cause a problem for our guitar guru.  We all know that Jeff’s main concern with all of this has always been that people might infer that him and Dana have some sort of association.  When in fact they do not, and even if they did I doubt Jeff would have Dana pitching the Jfrocks website since she has nothing to do with guitar.  He knows many actors and even formed the Jfrocks website with an actor who is on Dana’s level and Jeff doesn’t even have Keith mentioning the Jfrocks website except in one spot online that sometimes shows up in Google searches where Keith talks about Toy Soldiers and mentions Jeff.  But that’s not a publicized association complete with false bar stories.

Many have commented both here in my public blog and at Smits on Google that if indeed it’s true that Jeff has turned this matter over to his attorney Samantha’s days are numbered anyway.  Fans are slow to figure it out, but have already realized that what Jeff Fiorentino stated a month ago in his forum to try to get fans to stop reading and commenting on Samantha that she’s after their attention and not his or anyone else’s may in fact be valid.  Jeff called Samantha’s antics in that thread which got more than 18,500 reads before the gang buried it deep in the sign ups only section of the forum a poorly written Soap Opera.  I agree with Jeff on that point.  And the Soap Opera analogy would certainly take a nice twist if in fact Jeff had sent Samantha a certified letter as she claims he did in her latest post.  Which was my point earlier in this post.  Samantha seems to be creating drama where there is none in an effort to rile up the guitar community online to gain further attention. Attention that she seems to be feeding on.  Seemingly taking over the fans of both Jeff and Dana.  I find this all very alarming and I’m certain that I’m not alone there. 

Zoe J.’s efforts to limit forum posts in particular about this topic have been very successful.  A forum search of Google for jfrocks yeilds almost no results now for Samantha Speaks topics.  Where as 3 months ago there were dozens.  The good news for Jeff or Dana Barron too is that most people don’t know how to search the internet properly.  Most only do basic web searches.  Google’s options menu allows you to narrow things substantially however most people in this world do not know this or do this, so the majority of Jeff’s and Dana’s audiences are not finding Samantha anymore due to many posts being removed and any remaining ones not showing up in a basic web search. 

That’s the good news.  The bad news as I see it is if Jeff Fiorentino has not had his attorney send Samantha a cease letter, her new ploy may work and in the long run as many new fans latch on to her blog.  I said that before.  The real problem isn’t any attention from long term Jfrocks fans, or even long term Dana Barron fans that already know about each of them and their pasts.  The problem is the newer seekers that don’t know and draw conclusions from what they read. 

I encourage any new Jfrocks fans or people just finding out about Jfrocks through web searches for guitar lessons or guitar music, or even any Dana Barron internet searchers to not infer things.  Inferences are an issue that Jfrocks fans know first hand worries Jeff Fiorentino in particular the most.  It’s very easy to assume things because people believe what they read.  It’s the advice of this writer to not believe a word that Samantha Speaks is typing. 

It’s not fair to Dana Barron or to Jeff Fiorentino to believe her trash.  I’ve done my part to limit what people believe but I can only do so much.  Samantha seems hell bent on taking out revenge as she calls it on each of them.  For reasons in each case that are unclear.  While I think Zoe or Jeff or even Dana could clarify Samantha’s motives, I believe they haven’t for a good reason and we the fans of all of them should respect that decision.  But as a matter of respect it’s important to not believe what Samantha is trying to sell you.  She’s creating a drama or as Jeff called it a poorly written Soap. 

Listen, I’ve been a fan of Jeff’s website since 2003.  This guy’s been around a long long time and was around long before that doing radio promos in Los Angeles and Nationally in some cases.  Dweez once called Jeff Fiorentino the man of  Million riffs.  But Jeff has always been and even with his public website always be, off the radar.  Jeff strikes me and most others as a very private person who even does the Jfrocks website under a pseudonym to prevent searchers from digging up too much.  Dana doesn’t seem very forthcoming with information either.  The most we can learn about her from a search of the internet is her roles, and that she has a sister.  That’s about it for the most part.  Private people are private.  It’s easy to stay private if you want to.  But that privacy comes at a steep price when someone like Samantha pops onto the scene and decides to pass out false info.  New readers or searchers don’t know it’s false!  That’s why she needs to be stopped in my opinion.

My point is that if you’re stupid enough to believe that Dana Barron has no fingernails due some birth defect as Samantha has been saying.  Then you’re also probably stupid enough to believe the non-factual facts she’s giving about Jeff Fiorentino as well.  Most of us the are aware of Jeff get the biggest laugh out of her claim all over the internet that Jeff was either almost or was a stand in Power Ranger back in the early 90′s.  None of the statements made by Samantha about Jeff or Dana are even remotely true.  That’s her game.  Please as a fan I ask anyone just finding this matter online to not buy into it and don’t believe everything you read.

Samantha’s main weapon may be that there’s very little information online about either Jeff Fiorentino or Dana Barron.  Each of them has Thousands of links that come up in searches, but most non Samantha links contain very little info.  Samantha however is not your source for good info.  For Dana Barron check imdb.com that’s the best info on her out there.  For Jeff Fiorentino check eddievanhalen.com and guitars101.com but also keep in mind that Jeff Fiorentino isn’t famous.  Unlike Dana Barron he’ll talk to you.  Not saying anything bad about Dana I’m just saying Jeff Fiorentino has a public website and his job is to teach on it.  Dana’s job is to act and actors don’t usually communicate with fans or answer random questions.  They have PR people and agents and all that.  Jeff Fiorentino is a freelance guitarist and more importantly a teacher both online and at a school for the arts in Los Angeles.  Teaching involves communication.  Post a question in the Jfrocks forum to Jeff, and Jeff will answer it.  Plain and simple.  No need to believe Samantha.  Everything she types as I see it and read it is a lie meant to cause readers to infer what they will.

With that I seriously doubt that Jeff Fiorentino had his attorney send her a cease letter.  Until I hear it from the horse’s mouth.  It ain’t true!  Not that I think Jeff won’t turn this over to his attorney, but if he does I don’t think Samantha will write about it.  I think if and when that happens, when Samantha finishes cleaning the crap out of her pants, she’s start deleting things fast, not writing about how brave she is.

Samantha now drunk with power tops Bing for jfrocks, Jeff Fiorentino, & Dana Barron searches

Jfrocks fans have a topic going at Smits on Google and in a popular guitar forum out there in cyberspace.  The topic concerns Samantha Speaks and her reign of terror and obvious abuse of the Jfrocks.com name and the Dana Barron name as well.  Which is all still very odd to many of Jeff’s fans who don’t understand Samantha’s motives.  In the opinion of many there is a serious issue here and it’s one that I know from previous comments made by Jeff Fiorentino that he feared would happen, and feared the fall out from it.  That issue is that Samantha is now showing up 3rd in Bing and some Google searches for jfrocks and Samantha or Jeff Fiorentino in general are showing up three times in the top 10 for Dana Barron searches mostly on Bing one with a Samantha post that says Dana Barron is the face of rubbers, and another which states Dana Barron hates Jfrocks fans which we all know she never said, it’s just another one of Samantha’s tactics to take over the world it seems.  Although she’s free to hate whom ever she likes, Dana would never make a comment like that and if Jfrocks fans thought it was true she would probably have a force to recon with online.  The sad and dangerous part is that many who don’t know better will believe the sensational topic and infer from there.  Samantha is everywhere now including both the Flixster and who’s dating who websites with her false trivia and off color photos. 

These searches are obviously bringing her a lot of visitors with 10,000 searches per month for Jfrocks or Jeff Fiorentino and about 2300 for Dana Barron or Dana Barron nude in most of those cases according to overture.com Samantha has done what many Jfrocks fans and Jeff Fiorentino himself feared from jump street.  It seems our guitar guru was right when he said some time ago in passing that it’s the audiences of himself and Dana B. that Samantha wants and not actually any attention from either of them or anyone else she may be trashing at any given moment.  However based on a recent comment made by a personal friend of the Jfrocks staff that stopped by Smits on Google, it’s ironically attention from them that she may be headed for.  Only not the good kind.  No elaboration was given but my guess is when Mr. JF sees that that the number 3 search for his website is a post stating that Dana Barron says Jfrocks fans suck, he’s probably going to have had enough of this little shit, as if he hasn’t already.  In the opinion of many Samantha cannot be allowed to have this much control and power.  The bar sagas were stupid & mean, but not at all illegal.  There’s a line being crossed now and it may need to be dealt with before she becomes the entire 1st page of searches for both Jeff and Dana and who ever else she decides to screw with in the future.   

The topic for Jfrocks fans to comment on here or at Smits on Google is, how do Jeff or Dana or any of us stop this bitch?!  Is Barry R. from the Google website correct in saying that she’s a child and not an adult?  If she is a child the press from suing such a person would be worse than what she’s doing.  If not a child, she would certainly go hog wild reporting any real life fight with either Jeff or Dana or anyone.  Samantha is a blabbler.  Tight lipped on her true motives though oddly enough.

It’s a good idea for Jfrocks fans to post here and comment.  The gang doesn’t visit Smits on Google much and I know a lot of you are emailing them asking about the topic and are probably being ignored much like I am.  Maybe if you post here they’ll read it.  Jeff is in a bit of a bind as I see it.  Samantha is setting him up as the bad guy, I can see her plan clear as day.  He’s got new fans searching for Jfrocks on Google or Yahoo and they find him, but they also find a LIE, a flat out lie of a post from Samantha that shows up 3rd in the search that states that Dana Barron thinks Jfrocks fans suck.  Whether anyone searching even knows who Dana Barron is or not is of no matter, that topic is not good for business.  It’s a negative at a highly visible level.

We have 312 comments at Smits on Google so far and I hope to see at least 40 or so here.  Typically we get less here on the public blog because people are more shy.  I will say to the shy ones that you can post anonymously.  I won’t even know who you are if you do that, and more importantly neither will the Jfrocks gang who wants this to be a dead quiet topic.

Samantha is running a muck though.  I did a quick search today and every time I dig deeper I find more and more of what she’s been up to.  Samantha’s main tactic to what she says is to “get even” with both Jeff Fiorentino and Dana Barron for separate issues that none of us are aware of is to tag photos with various things.  She’s ripping Jeff’s photos from around the net and tagging them with Dana Barron and is doing the same to Dana Barron photos and tagging them with jfrocks or even worse Jeff Fiorentino.  One photo of a Donkey or Ass is now a main JPG online at 2 fan sites for Dana Barron.  A popular fan site “Top Fans” has a Jeff Fiorentino page that pulls from various internet sources and it has more Dana Barron photos on it than it does photos or videos of Jeff himself.  This has to piss Jeff off, and if I’m alerting him or probably more the case Zoe to this fact by typing it here then so be it.

In this writer’s opinion, what ever Jeff Fiorentino has up his sleeve, or what ever Dana Barron has up hers had better be pulled out soon, or people will not only believe that Dana Barron has no fingernails and is fully nude in her next movie, which might improve film revenues anyway if I’m to be honest and based on Samantha’s effect on Dana’s searches I’m being very honest.  They’ll also believe that she thinks Jfrocks fans suck and that she’s affiliated in some way with Jfrocks.  Which is something I know first hand the gang at Jfrocks does not want to have happen.

Samantha is not that easy to get rid of though.  The legalities here are tricky and Jeff knows this I’m certain.  It might just be time to pull the check book out and give it a try though.  Or maybe save the cash and Kid or no kid, whether she’s 12 or 29, just give her what she wants, what ever it is.  The way I and many comments at Smits on Google see it is that Jeff has about 2 months tops to fix this.  Once Guitar Player hits, searches for him will sky rocket and Samantha will be in charge of what should be a really big financial windfall for Mr. Jfrocks.  I don’t think the fans will care much about Samantha.  Most might just find it all funny and odd.  But I think the Jfrocks gang would rather people found the website and downloaded some music and lessons instead of reading about Dana Barron in some bar.  I’m with them on that by the way.  

Let’s hear from some Jfrocks fans.  I know a lot of you are ignoring Samantha now, but where do you all think this is heading, what are the implications of Samantha getting 1st page of Google with her antics and tie ins, and what are some solutions based on what you’ve all seen on Facebook, fan sites, and in her idiotic blogs?

Who is Samantha Speaks? The answer creates a bigger problem

Jfrocks fans should visit Smits on Google.  A BOMB was dropped over there in a recent topic one of my contributors put up discussing the new Dana Barron Fan forum. 

While Samantha’s readership is probably at an all time low because of her backing off L.A. studio guitarist Jeff Fiorentino.  The use of big name actors like Hugh Laurie and McGruff the crime dog as new fictional bar companions for Dana Barron is likely to bring in a big crowd eventually. 

Fans always knew that Samantha wasn’t who she said she was, but now it turns out she wasn’t even close.  Samantha Anders is nothing more than a mere child playing games says Barry R. from Google, who cross referenced email information through Samantha’s many verified G mail accounts.  This isn’t much of a stretch, all one needs to do is read her writing and you can easily assume that this is a child.

Let me be very clear that I have NO CONFIRMATION from anyone be it Dana Barron or the Jfrocks gang that this information is accurate.  This fact, if known by Jeff Fiorentino and the Jfrocks gang however, would explain their hesitation in dropping an axe on the head of this menace.  Children get away with a lot online.  A search of legal forums proves this, and proves the bad press that can come from coming down too hard on a child for their antics. 

Any fans not yet signed up should email me for a password at a_smits57@yahoo.com and visiting us at Smits on Google for the full story from Barry and about 240 comments from fans of both Jfrocks and a few of Dana Barron’s who are not at all surprised that Samantha is a child and not who she says she is.  I have to laugh, but this isn’t funny and the facts make Samantha much harder to clean up.  I now have a new found respect for Jeff’s handling of this situation, and I apologize for my previous post saying that Jeff was taking this all too lightly.  It seems our Samantha not only writes like a child but is nothing but meer child, and if this is true it changes the approach quite a lot. 

Our topic of discussion at Smits on Google is what do you do in this situation?  Do you sue a child?  Most say NO!!!  Not unless you like really bad press and want to be seen as evil in the eyes of many.  Mischief or not, she’s a kid, and we all remember the bad press Metallica got when they sued a 13 year old for 30,000 dollars.  I think that Barry is correct and she is a child, and in turn that explains a lot of Jeff Fiorentino’s actions and sheds new light on the rather light tactics that have been used to try to rid the internet of this kid.  To say kid gloves are needed is an understatement if in fact Barry’s research is correct. 

The best course of action in the opinion of many comments is for Jeff Fiorentino or Dana Barron or Hugh Laurie now to call this kid’s father and get this taken care of.  The question is, do the parents care?  The world is full of latch key kids with detached parents.  This could be why Samantha is lashing out.  If not, the parents are responsible for the child’s actions under the law anyway.  Samantha however isn’t really breaking any laws per say, but I assume that nobody involved be it Jfrocks Jeff or Vacation Dana (as she’s being called now on Google) wants this to continue months on into the future. 

There’s a lot more to this story than we’ll ever know, but Samantha being a child really answers a large number of burning questions but still there are many unanswered. 

Fact is it’s July 2009, Samantha is a virus that won’t go away.  Our guitar guru Jeff Fiorentino and the guitar community’s new favorite little starlet Dana Barron have been paired up online in Samantha’s shit for nearly 1 year now.  Most of the older stuff deleted thanks to the Jfrocks gang due to misuse of keywords on Samantha’s part.  But a few Jfrocks fans like to make the joke that Jeff and Dana have been together in Samantha’s warped universe longer than some of their real life relationships have lasted.  Karma is a funny thing though.  What goes around comes around, and I think Samantha child or not is going to get a spanking very soon from one or both of them, or at the very minimum her parents I hope. 

Jokes aside the Jfrocks gang takes this all very seriously and aren’t laughing with us.  Nobody knows what Dana Barron thinks but it can’t be any different.  What’s the actual truth of what’s going on in Samantha’s head???  That’s probably for a therapist to figure out and not all of us. 

Maybe that’s the deal Jeff and the Jfrocks gang or even Dana Barron can work out with Samantha’s parents.  Maybe Jeff can flip the bill for her therapy.  Instead of suing a child, be a hero instead and save one.  Food for thought.  Take it for what it’s worth.  But hey if Jeff expenses it through the company it may be a tax write off.    

We also must keep in mind that Barry may be incorrect and Samantha isn’t a child.  Unlikely, but possible.  I called Zoe J. first thing this morning and was pleased she didn’t change her phone number yet, but was sent straight to voicemail as I feared I would be, she knows my number by now.  Come on Zoe, just confirm or deny.  No details are needed.

Jfrocks.com Van Zeppelin How Many More Times – Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino VH’izing Lesson 12

Man oh man I am such a fan!!!!  This guy just kills me man he’s just the best when it comes to delivering some serious guitar instruction both online and on DVD etc.  This song just proves how much Jeff Fiorentino rules the F’in world and why Jfrocks.com is an internet legend. 

We’ve been doing so much talk and typing lately about the Samantha Speaks Dana Barron fiasco as it pertains to Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino of Jfrocks.com fame (among other things).  I almost hate to even mention it here because this is a cool blog entry featuring a link to a really cool song with a great sound by Jeff Fiorentino and the Jfrocks gang. 

It’s nice to see that the Jfrocks gang had what seemed like one hell of a Memorial Day weekend.  Sure my prediction has come true and the gang has returned to what can only be viewed more Samantha Speaks mess and as usual more pairing of Dana Barron and Jeff Fiorentinoclogging up the search engines which I’m quite certain is pissing Jeff and the gang off to no end like it always has from day 1.  No not a dig on Dana Barron, they have no problem with her personally as most of us Jfrocks fans are aware.  In fact most Jfrocks fans even feel bad about the situation as it pertains to Dana Barron.  All of us want Samantha to drop dead in a manor of speaking.  No rather it’s about misleading those that would search Jeff or the Jfrocks name on search engines like Google and Yahoo etc.

But through the clouds and haze came an email alert this morning from the Jfrocks website.  And with it, an advanced sneak peek at their latest lesson song example.  They said in their email if you have a blog to insert it in and if you post in forums insert the link.  I’m always one to give the gang some free advertising as I bet many others will too. 

Dubbed, “Mad sugar rush in Studio City, the Memorial Day fix” this seems to be a sequel song to the original “Sugar rush in Studio City.” which was a Phase 90 guitar hero Van Halen style rendition of the classic “Johnny B. Goode.”  That well to be honest Jeff Fiorentino just ripped on.  It’s so good I can’t even listen to the original anymore without getting bored.  lol 

This latest song from Jeff Fiorentino and the Jfrocks gang is yet again seeing a pairing of talents with Guitarist Jeff Fiorentino, and Producer Alan Davis.  Recorded at Eureka Drive studios in Studio City at what the Jfrocks gang called their “Memorial Day party” this Van Halen’ized version of Led Zeppelin’s “How many more times” is just through the roof!!!!!!!!

Nice work gang!  I would have loved to have been at that party.  I can only imagine who was there.  Alan Davis who produces radio commercial spots when he’s not collaborating with Jeff Fiorentino on indi films soundtracks and other live performances around Los Angeles knows a lot of Hollywood types from his work, and I’m sure his Memorial Day party was something to behold.  Oh to be a fly on the wall and watch a song like this get recorded.  I’m assuming they performed this LIVE in front of other party guests.

Zooey Deschanel rave review at Q&A in Los Angeles

Many of you may remember I had a blog entry up about Zooey Deschanel appearing for a Q&A recently in Los Angeles.  Some who attended wrote in and have favorable things to say.  I will be posting your comments in the coming weeks in another entry however I wanted to state here how much I wished I was in Los Angeles so I could have attended.

Zooey Deschanel Q & A tonight 7:30pm Nuart Theatre in LA

Zooey Deschanel answers YOUR questions tonight at 7:30pm at the Nuart Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles.

Below is a link to an ad on the campus circle event newsletter.  If you live in Los Angeles or near there and are a Zooey Deschanel fan, you might want to take a trip to Santa Monica Blvd and check it out.  I wish I was in LA or I would go.  I would also if I did go apologize to her in person for my Boxing Zooey blog series that got out of hand.  lol  As most of you know the good people at the jfrocks.com website are still a little miffed at me for involving Jeff in that whole mess.  I’ve made my apologies already so I’m past that.  I’m less worried about Jeff forgiving me and more hopeful that Zooey doesn’t think I’m a total tool.  lol

Jfrocks.com Johnny B Goode Halen’ized – Jeff Fiorentino is in the house step aside McFly

I was just floored by this Jfrocks.com Guitar Lesson for their Van Halen’izing of cover songs series.  Jeff Fiorentino and the gang did this version of Johnny B. Goode called Johnny B. Bad Ass.  Just amazing stuff.

I know I do this a lot but I’m signed up for jfrocks.com email alerts being that I’m probably Jeff Fiorentino’s biggest supporter online and all.  Most people post their links in forums.  I choose to go the blog route.  I’m not much of a forum person.  There are other bloggers that are Jfrocks.com fans but some aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.  We won’t go into the Dana Barron mess that every Jfrocks freak knows about already.  My prayers are with Jeff in getting that blog removed for good.  NOW LET’S ROCK!  Shall we.  I didn’t know how to categorize this post in my blog so I just selected select all.  So keep in mind that it may not fit with some of the categories it appears in.  lol   Oh I’m so lazy aren’t I?   

The latest song track Jeff Fiorentino and the gang at jfrocks.com have put together for a guitar lesson is a Van Halen style version of Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Goode which the Jfrocks.com gang aptly calls “Johnny B. Bad A$$“.  And let me just say here that it’s as bad a$$ a song as I’ve ever heard in my entire LIFE!  This is some sick guitar playing and I and countless others I’m sure are chomping at the bit waiting for the lesson and tabs to go up on Friday the 20th.

Road Trip with Huell – Jfrocks Jazz guitar lesson song link for fans

I forgot that we had this huge topic in this wordpress blog about the new Jazz style guitar lesson from Jeff Fiorentino and the good folks at jfrocks.com.  Many comments have come in to my previous posting about this topic as Jeff has many Jazz fans online.  Most know him for Van Halen guitar lessons, but those that have been around the block awhile also know he’s an accomplished and well trained Jazz guitar player too.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to keep my two blogs in sync with one another.  For those that are already fans of the website this link will do you no good as you probably already have the song track and have watched and learned a great deal already from Jeff’s video lesson for it.  But for those of you who are just music fans this link will serve you well as the song track is difficult to locate on the website, even though they have a whole music site now that’s separate from the main Jfrocks website.  It’s called JF~Rocks, which I thought was very clever since the ~ mark is what is used as a vibrato in guitar tabs generally.

If you’re into Jazz or even if you’re not you’ll love this song “Road Trip with Huell”, named for what Jeff says is a local TV show on California public television hosted by a guy named Huell Howser.  I guess the guys at Jfrocks.com also sent this song track into the Huell Howser TV program free of charge to see if Heull will spice up his intro and outro music a little.  lol   I love that, and when I contacted the Huell Howser TV show through their wesbsite they had no comment but the person who replied did say that they loved the song track.  lol 

And for good reason too, this is a great song Jeff Fiorentino!  Jeff stated on the video lesson for this Jazz part 2 that he did this particular song with what he called a “hot rod” tone to help those rocker types out there that think they shouldn’t bother with Jazz see the light so to speak.   It’s a great song and a great lesson, I applaud Jeff Fiorentino and the crew at the Jfrocks website for this one.

Zooey Deschanel – Zooey in the sky with Diamonds – Robbins Bros that is

Well despite my title I certainly hope Zooey got a better ring than a Robbins Brothers engagement ring.   lol 

With all the trouble my little blog has caused with its Boxing Zooey Deschanel series of entries, comments from readers, and debates.  I figured I would offer a more positive spin for once with no debate option and hopefully scare away the negative nellys among us.  I’m taking a big risk not making this entry password protected, but what the heck I’ll roll the dice and just delete any jerks that comment.

With that said, I would like to extend a congratulations to Ms. Deschanel on her pending nuptials.  May life give you all you wish for and deserve.  The universe is definitely smiling on Zooey that much I know for sure. 

Being a Capricorn with a birthday coming up soon she has one heck of a good year ahead of her in 2009.  Many new affiliations, and many new options to expand her career and increase her income as well.  It’ll be a long year, but a favorable one indeed.  

I would kill to be a Capricorn this year, my sign is in turmoil in 2009.  lol  lol   I’ll be lucky to get out of 2009 alive.   lol lol 

Ahhh life is good when it’s good ain’t it.  Like I said a long time ago in a post long ago and far away.  Ms. Zooey is on a roll.  We’re still only seeing the tip of the iceberg of success with this young lady despite what some had to say in the Boxing series.  I’m never wrong people.  Keep your eyes on this person.

Boxing Zooey Deschanel – The Good the Bad and the Ugly

The End, & The Final Word.

Many of you who had been reading the Boxing Zooey Deschanel series of blog entries will notice that it’s no longer here.  Yup, it’s gone!

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that participated in our debate whether you were positive about and for Ms. Deschanel, or a negative Nelly.  The comments are what make a blog topic come alive.  This “Boxing Zooey” series came alive indeed! 

The main topic was based on the simple question posted by a commenter who wasn’t a Zooey Deschanel fan.  “Does an acting career hurt or help ones chances at a music career?”  The topic was posed around Zooey Deschanel because her CD was the topic of the original blog entry.  More than 200 comments over 12 blog entries in the series came in.  One side were fans of Zooey, another side were not, and a third side which caused the most controversy were people who just felt the need to be rude for no good reason what so ever.  These rude people angered some Zooey fans, and angered me at times as well.

To add even more drama to the mix in the process I pissed off my favorite guitarist online or offline Mr. Jfrocks Jeff Fiorentino by dropping his and his website’s name and various links on it and in his forum to help the negative people see the light.  This in turn backfired and caused a bunch of Zooey’s fans to email the staff at the Jfrocks.com website to alert them to the blog entries and see if something could be done about them. 

I felt extra bad about this because Jeff and Jfrocks.com needed this hassle like a hole in the head since they already had numerous blog issues in 2008 including a couple copyright violators, and of course who can forget the now famous“Dana Barron & Jeff Fiorentino walking into bars blog saga”from that raging bitch Samantha Speaks.  Don’t get me started but I and countless others think that Jeff and Dana Barron should have skipped the bar and gone to a gun shop together and gone after Samantha with their purchases.  Oh well at least the good news for Dana Barron in all of that is Jfrocks fans think she’s awesome.  She’s now a guitar legend whether she plays or not.  Her Jfrocks.com fan base is probably bigger than her movie one.  I think at last count  10 Trillion people a day are at Jeff website rocking out.  

Beyond the above mentioned my conscience was affected by all this “Boxing Zooey” stuff too.  Being a huge fan of Zooey Deschanel myself, to have one of her fans call me a troll was a bit over the top for me.  I was trying to be a neutral moderator, but in the end I became the bad guy.  I apologize for that to not only Zooey’s fans, but to everyone involved and even  to Zooey herself, and well even Jeff Fiorentino for that matters since it was my fault that he got thrown into the middle of all this.

In closing it turned out to be a god’s send that Jeff Fiorentino and the Jfrocks.com gang were thrust in the middle of it all.  He’s very wise for his young age, and it only took a couple very logical sentences from him personally in the “Boxing Zooey round 10″ comments to put the final nail in the coffin of this “Boxing Zooey Deschanel” debate. 

I’m sure Jeff won’t ride my ass too much if I quote him here, although he hates to be quoted and has made that clear to me on numerous occasions.  But it’s good for people to remember this point, especially if they’re negative people that like to bitch about things.  Jeff Fiorentino commented in Boxing Zooey round 10 and said,  

quote:  I don’t know how I got in the middle of all this, I don’t even know Zooey, but for those of you being assholes to this poor girl, can I ask why you’re bitching about her?”  “Don’t you all have lives and better things to do?”  “If you don’t like her, or her music, don’t go to her films, and don’t buy her music.”  “It’s really that simple, there’s no need to bitch about it online where everyone can read it.”  “I certainly hope you don’t sit at home and watch TV shows you don’t like and bitch about those for an hour.”  “You just change the channel.”  “Well, if you don’t like Zooey Deschanel, change the channel and pay attention to someone you do like.”  “You’ll live much happier lives that way.”  “Laugh more, complain less, that’s the secret to life folks.”    end quote

With that wisdom from an online guitar giant the “Boxing Zooey Deschanel” blog entries came to a close.  There’s no reply for what Jeff said, and he’s got the backup of Thousands of followers who’ll kick ass if anyone disagrees with him.  So nobody bothered to try.   

In the future we’ll have other debates in this blog.  But we won’t use any specific names or at least try not to.  I suppose in the end we could have had the debate as a hypothetical and not used or talked about Zooey Deschanel at all.  It was a commenter who started it, and I’m a Zooey fan so I thought I would let it go.  I’m very sorry it got ugly.  But that’s life sometimes.  It’s not all roses and sunny days.  Not everyone is a fan of Zooey’s.  We learned that the hard way in our debate.

One last thank you to all who participated in the debate.  It was a fascinating 3 week run.  It made my holiday season bit more interesting than usual.  I love a good debate.  

If you were part of the Good side, the Bad side, or even the Ugly side, I say thanks for the fun.  We’ll do it again sometime and hopefully not piss off any celebrities or their fans in the process.   It’s not just Zooey’s fans either.  The Jfrocks following isn’t overly enthralled with me for dropping his name in the middle of this debate.  Sorry gang, I’ll make it up to you all somehow.  I’ll see about some free advertising for Jfrocks.com in the magazine.  I’ll call your office gal (Zoe Jacques) and work it out.
